Photo contest Ajijic Lakeside Chapala
Last year’s community photo contest was so popular that photographers Flyer and Mancera have decided to do it again and Maria Di Paola has graciously agreed to be one of the judges.
The theme this year is La Vida en Chapala (Life in Chapala) - whatever that means to the photographer. It can be Mexican life or expatriate life, it can be poor or rich life, it can be the towns and the plazas or the neighborhood tienditas or bars. Whatever the photographer thinks symbolizes life in the municipality of Chapala (includes Ajijic, San Antonio and Riberas del Pilar).

There will be three categories: Professional, Amateur and Student. The entry fees are quite low (80 pesos for professionals, 50 pesos for amateurs and 40 pesos for students). Photographers can pick up entry forms and all the specifics as of Wednesday, December 23 at Quattro, the new gallery at Colon 9 in Ajijic.

All entries are due at Quattro by February 1.

One of the grand prizes for first-place winners in each category is to be part of a photo spread of the winners and their winning entries in the Guadalajara Reporter. Further, all winners and honorable mentions will be invited to exhibit (and sell) their photos at Quattro for the entire month of March.

For more information contact Flyer at 766-3025.
