Jill Flyer and Luis Mancera McCormick will present a course on Photography at the Centro Cultural de Chapala (Train Station). The course will start November 18th and will run for 5 weeks. The cost is 300 pesos in total, which includes all materials and working prints of the student's work each week. The classes will be held Wednesday morning at 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Students should sign up for one or the other: The subject matter will be the same in each class. Each person who completes the course will receive a diploma. Topics to include:
History of Photography How to operate your camera What are shutters and apertures? Composition Field work - the class will go outdoors to take photos under the instruction and guidance of the instructors, using different lenses, different camera settings and different angles Increase creativity - how to think "out of the box" Analyze photos - What is texture in a photo? What is movement and rhythm and how to get it in a still photo?
