For those of you who are interested in cooking ... and for the serious ones who want to PLAY IN THE KITCHEN, we have an event for you.
|
Jaltepec Centro Educativo has a beautiful Mini Kitchen Laboratory with a platform complete with mirrors for the Instructor to teach and eight mini kitchens, fully equipped for groups of four, to reproduce their lesson. Capacity is for 24 guests.
Our first Master Chef course will take place on Nov. 21st at Jaltepec Centro Educativo. The Master Chef will be Chef Gerard Militello of La Vita Bella Restaurant in San Juan Cosala within the confines of the Racquet Club.
The session will be broken up into two sections, the first from 9.30 pm to noon for Chef Gerard's Holiday Festive Three Course Presentation with tasting. The second section for those who love to play in a professional kitchen, we will provide a light lunch of sandwiches and refreshments, provide all the ingredients needed to replicate the three courses and you will be in groups of four reproduce what you learned during the morning session, and get to enjoy a full late afternoon lunch of your preparations. Chef Gerard will be on hand to watch over you as you reproduce the lesson.
We will have more details by mid October. Stacey Hewitt, arranging this event for the benefit of the students of Jaltepec Centro Educativo, is currently in the US for two weeks. If you are interested, keep the date of Nov. 21st open when we will be able to provide you with much more information, including the menu and prices. for each session.
