This is a historical novel that recounts the daily life of the village of Ajijic, from different points of view, with characters like Santos Rico and Chon Villanueva, who from a Cantina in the year 1929 recounts how they cultivated the plants called agave or maguey, from the species of maguey (agave Mexican Lamarck, amarilideas family) which are used in the state of Jalisco for the elaboration of wine called mezcal brandy, wine tequila, mexican brandy or just simply tequila, all this is related as part of the events in the region, starting with the Cristero Movement, followed by the Agrarian Movement, the rise of Adolfo de la Huerta against Obregon.
