The time has come and what an adventure Lake Chapala Research Center, S.C. has opened the first phase of their massive project by opening David’s Restaurant with Chef Stacey. David’s with its unique ever-changing menu, will open up the experience of a lifetime, your taste buds will be excited by the unique and creative cuisine of Chef Stacey. She brings to the community 20 years of experience and amazing zest.
Operational hours for David’s is Saturday 5pm ~11pm, Sunday thru Thursday 11am ~ 9 pm.

David’s was created as a financial support to help offset a student’s expense when attending “ACT4Life”. Keeping educational cost at a minimal allows more students the opportunity to experience and pursue their dreams in the area of computers.

Phase two of Lake Chapala Research Center, involves opening the doors to “ACT4Life” the computer technology school. Classes will be available according to interest and maturity level those who are 14 through 99 are welcome to attend.

“ACT4Life” director Cheryl L. Kilough has over 26 years of experience in computers and education. Her techniques have proven successful when working with young people. She is not your average educator and does not believe on wasting time with subjects that go down dead end streets. Her students have graduated with 4.0 averages before the age of 16 and exhibit tremendous entrepreneurial spirits. Her hands on approach has proven to be a success. Her motto has always been, “If you can read and comprehend there isn’t any task you can’t accomplish.” She is a living example of that.

Everyone who attends ACT4Life will be required to take a basic computer class. This course will refresh your memory on how to use operating systems and the basic dos and don’ts of computing. The mysteries of Windows XP, 7 and 8 will finally be conquered and your frustrations will vanish.

Classes will be available for those who want to learn how to use their tablet or how to communicate with friends in other parts of the world by using Facebook, Skype, or iMessage. What about learning how to create your own art by using Illustrator or CorelDraw. Of course let’s not forget about photo manipulation using Photoshop, etc.

Regardless of your interest you will have the opportunity to pursue your own interest or a career in computer technology.
When all phases of ACT4Life are completed this amazing facility will offer over 2500 classes in English and 500 classes in Spanish. All of the classes are audio/video based and do not require any special books just a set of headphones and a desire to learn how to use programs. If you apply yourself you will master most courses in three months and receive a certificate of completion reflecting your accomplishments.

Registration for Microsoft Office suite classes will begin August 18, 2014 which will consist of Microsoft word, access, acrobat, excel and PowerPoint.

Phase three will open yet another unique school called “Expressions”. This language arts school has creative ideas for learning both Spanish and English students.

Finally phase four will open the door of Lake Chapala Research Center Library an 80,000 resource library with over 3000 videos.
One might ask how any one group of people accomplish so much. All the credit goes to the creator/founder/director/CEO who wishes to remain anonymous at this time.
